Cub, the Chow Chow baby with a broken femur

This is an update from Cub's foster dad!
Here is a link to a video of how I'm greeted every morning. http://www.mediafire.com/?kv0b11867rlhvfs
At the end of the video clip, if you turn up the volume and listen closely, you can
hear Cub give out a little "grunt". We had a Cinnamon Chow that would make the
same sound, when massaged behind the ears. Her name was Princess, RIP baby.

Cub is doing great, he is getting stronger everyday, and for a shy guy, I think he
does well on the leash and English slip lead. He is kept on a short leash and slip
lead when outside, to minimize movement. If he hears a vehicle coming, he
would initially put his head down and get between my legs, but now he just sorta
watches as the vehicle goes by, so making progress.

Still no "accidents" in the house, he does his business outside like a big boy.

Today will be the 1st day Cub will go without any pain medicine, he has finished his
supply, so I'll be keeping an eye on him, to see if it appears that he is in any additional
discomfort.

I'd like to Thank everyone who had a part in giving this little guy a second chance at LIFE.

Well, little Cub is back at his foster home. Time for healing to take place. Heard he is doing well, going outside to potty on his new leash and beautiful new collar. Will continue updates, but for now, all is well.

Well, little Cub's surgery is just now complete. Not sure if the little guy is awake yet, but I doubt it. Surgery was very difficult procedure, but the vet feels it is a stable repair. This poor baby had been in such pain for a number of days. Now, it is time for serious healing. We will keep you updated.

Hopefully, Cub's surgery will be scheduled. The vet's are reviewing his x-rays once again. On the positive note, Cub is safe and warm inside instead of out in the snow. He is eating well (he is extremely underweight) and even taking his pain medicine like a good boy.
